What this tool does

Almost nobody has a comment problem they can see. They have a comment problem they find out about later, when an ad underperforms and someone finally scrolls down. The comment section is the one part of your funnel that strangers can edit, and it is the part nobody audits.

This grades five things: how fast you react, how much spam gets through, how many hours of the day are actually covered, whether you can read every language your ads run in, and whether the real customer questions get answered. Those five decide what a buyer sees under your ad.

Every weak area comes back with a fix. Several of the fixes cost nothing and are things Meta already gives you, and we would rather tell you that than pretend the only answer is us. It is free, there is no signup and no email, and the whole thing runs in your browser.

How to score your comment section

Ten questions, about a minute. Answer them the way things actually are this week, not the way they are supposed to be.

  1. 1Answer about a normal weekNot your best week. Answer for a week when the ads were running and you were busy with something else, because that is the week your comment section is on its own.
  2. 2Answer honestly about out of hoursThis is the one everybody rounds up. If nobody is genuinely looking at 11pm on a Saturday, that is not covered, and pretending otherwise only skews your own result.
  3. 3Read the weak areas, not the gradeThe letter is just a way of getting your attention. The list underneath is the useful part, and it is ordered worst first on purpose.
  4. 4Do the free fixes firstMeta's own filters and a blocked words list cost nothing and take about five minutes. Do those before you consider paying anyone, including us.
  5. 5Come back after your next launchVolume is what breaks a comment section, so the honest time to re score is a week into a big campaign, when the spam has caught up with your spend.

The five things this grades, and why they are the five

These are not arbitrary. Each one is a way a comment section fails that the others cannot catch for you.

  1. 1SpeedA scam comment is only expensive while it is visible. Everything else about your moderation is a footnote next to how long the bad stuff stays up.
  2. 2SpamVolume decides whether you can keep up by hand. A page getting three scams a week is a different problem from a page getting thirty a day.
  3. 3CoverageYour ads do not sleep. Any hour nobody is watching is an hour your comment section belongs to whoever showed up.
  4. 4LanguagesA keyword list only knows the language it was written in. Ads in a language you cannot read are comments you cannot moderate.
  5. 5Customer questionsHiding spam is only half of it. The comments that turn into money are the ones asking about price and shipping, and they get lost in the noise.

What this grade tells you, and what it cannot

It is ten questions and a bit of arithmetic. That is genuinely useful, and it is also worth knowing exactly what it is not.

What this grade tells you

  • Which of the five is your weak oneMost people are strong in some areas and blind in one. Naming the blind one is most of the value here, because you cannot fix what you have not noticed.
  • Whether you have the free stuff switched onMeta ships filters that are off by default, and a lot of pages have never turned them on. That is a five minute fix with no downside.
  • Whether this scales past todayThe questions about coverage and volume are really asking one thing: what happens when you spend more? That is usually when a workable routine stops working.
  • Where the money is leakingUnanswered buyer questions are the least dramatic failure and the most expensive one. The grade puts a number on it.

What it cannot know

  • Your actual comment sectionThis is the big one. It grades your answers, not your pages. It has never seen a single one of your comments, and it cannot, because nothing you type here leaves your browser.
  • The spam you do not know aboutIf a scam comment sat under an ad all night and you never found it, you answered the spam questions from a version of reality that is missing that comment. Everybody's blind spots are invisible to them.
  • How honest you wereThe out of hours question in particular. There is no scoring trick that can fix an answer that was a bit generous, and you are the only one who knows.
  • Your nicheA local bakery and a supplement brand running six figures of ads have completely different comment sections. The same grade means different things to each.
  • Anything past the five areasYour brand voice, your creative, your offer. All of that matters and none of it is here, because this is about what happens underneath the ad rather than in it.
  • Doing anything about itA grade is a mirror. It cannot hide a comment, answer a buyer, or watch your page at 3am, and no amount of scoring it again will change the number.

Fixing this by hand vs Sweep Inbox

Every weak area above has a fix, and some of them are free. Here is the honest split between what you can do yourself today and what needs something watching the comments for you.

Questions people actually ask

  • It is a quick way of asking whether the comments under your posts and ads are helping you sell or quietly costing you sales. This one grades five things: how fast you react, how much spam gets through, how many hours are covered, whether you can read every language you advertise in, and whether real customer questions get answered.
