Data Deletion Instructions

Last updated: August 8, 2026

This page explains how to remove the data Sweep Inbox holds about you: your account, the Meta Pages and Instagram accounts you connected, and the comments and moderation decisions attached to them. There are two routes, and both end in the same place.

1. Revoke Sweep Inbox from your Facebook settings

You can cut our access from Meta's side at any time, without signing in here. On Facebook, open Settings & privacy, then Settings, then Business integrations (or Apps and websites), find Sweep Inbox, and remove it.

Once access is revoked, the tokens we hold for that connection stop working and live processing of your Pages' comments ends. To have the data we already stored erased as well, send the email described in section 2 — that is the request that starts the deletion clock in section 3.

2. Ask us to delete your data by email

Email contact@sweep-inbox.com from the address you signed up with, with "Data deletion" in the subject line. Tell us whether you want the entire account removed or only specific Pages or connections.

We may ask one question to confirm you control the account. We do not ask you to justify the request, and we do not charge for it. This route covers everything: access tokens are destroyed, Pages are unsubscribed from Meta's comment webhooks, and stored comments, classifications, and moderation history are queued for deletion.

3. How long deletion takes

Live processing stops within seconds of a connection being removed or revoked. The stored data is permanently deleted within 30 days of the request, and encrypted backups containing it roll over within 35 days.

Two things survive, and only these: account, billing, and support records we are required to keep for up to 7 years by tax and accounting law, and aggregated training signals that carry no commenter identifiers and cannot be traced back to a person, Page, or comment. Both are described in the Privacy Policy.
