Paste your comments, set your rules, draw a winner. Every other picker asks for your post link and pulls the comments onto their server. This one never sees them, because nothing you paste ever leaves your browser.

What this tool does

It picks a random winner from comments you paste in. There is no post URL box, and that is deliberate: the moment a tool asks for your link, your giveaway entries are on somebody else's server, and you have no idea what happens to them. Pasting is more work. It is also the only version that can promise the entries never left your machine and mean it.

The draw uses your browser's cryptographic random number generator rather than the ordinary one, shuffles the whole eligible pool, and takes the winners off the top. That means no winner can be drawn twice, and the draw is genuinely uniform rather than approximately uniform.

There is no reroll button, on purpose. A picker that lets you spin again until you like the winner is not a picker. The one thing this tool is for is being able to tell your audience the draw was fair, and a reroll quietly takes that away.

It also shows you exactly who got excluded and why, before you announce anything. It is free, there is no signup, and the whole thing runs in your browser.

How to pick a giveaway winner

The drawing is the easy part. Being able to defend the result is the part that matters when somebody asks.

  1. 1Copy your commentsOpen the post, expand all the comments (Instagram loads them lazily, so scroll to the bottom first), select, and copy. Handles first if you can, because that is what lets the tool catch duplicate entries.
  2. 2Set your rules before you drawThis matters more than it sounds. Decide the rules first, not after seeing who is in the pool. One entry per person, must tag two friends, whatever you announced. Changing rules after seeing the names is how a fair draw stops being one.
  3. 3Read the excluded panelBefore you announce anything, look at who got removed and why. If 400 of 500 entries were disqualified, you want to know that now rather than when somebody asks why they did not win.
  4. 4Draw onceThere is no reroll here and that is the feature. If you draw ten times and pick your favourite, you did not run a giveaway, you picked a winner and did some theatre.
  5. 5Screen record it if it mattersFor anything with real value, record your screen while you paste and draw. It costs nothing and it is the difference between saying it was random and showing it.

Why this one does not ask for your post link

Every other comment picker has a URL box. It is worth understanding what that box does.

  1. 1The link means their server reads your commentsTo pull comments from a URL, a tool has to fetch them, which means the entries, the handles, and everything anyone wrote goes to a company you have never met and stays as long as they like.
  2. 2Which is why they want itIt is more convenient for you and it is a data collection step for them. Convenience is the trade, and it is rarely spelled out on the page.
  3. 3Pasting keeps it on your machineSlower, more clicking, and the only version where this page can honestly say your entries never left your browser. That promise is worth an extra thirty seconds.
  4. 4It also cannot breakA picker that fetches comments stops working every time Meta changes something. A text box does not.

What this picker does, and what it does not

It draws a fair winner from what you paste. Everything about the giveaway around that is still yours.

What this picker does

  • A genuinely random drawYour browser's cryptographic random number generator, a full shuffle, no winner drawn twice. Not approximately fair, actually fair.
  • Your rules, applied consistentlyOne entry per person, must contain a word, must tag two friends. Applied to everybody the same way, which is hard to do by eye at 400 entries.
  • A record of who was excludedShown before you announce, with the reason. The number that surprises people is how many entries fail their own rules.
  • Total privacyNo post link, no upload, nothing stored. Your entrants' handles stay on your machine, which is not true of any picker with a URL box.

What it cannot do

  • Fetching your commentsYou paste them. That is the trade for the privacy, and it is the honest one. Instagram gives no export, so scroll to the bottom before you copy or you will only draw from the first thirty.
  • Telling a bot from a personThis is the big one. A giveaway is a scam magnet, and the crypto accounts entering yours look like entries to a text parser. If a bot wins, you announced a bot.
  • Checking anyone followed youThat would need access to your account. Follow requirements are on you to check by hand, on the winner, before you announce.
  • Comments it never sawInstagram loads comments as you scroll. If you copied without expanding, most of your entrants were never in the draw and will never know.
  • Running your promotion legallyPrize rules, eligibility, and Meta's promotion guidelines are yours. The tool draws a name.
  • The comment section afterwardsA giveaway post attracts more scam accounts than anything else you will ever post, and they stay long after the draw.

Running the giveaway vs Sweep Inbox

The draw is one minute. The comment section a giveaway creates lasts for weeks. Here is the split.

Questions people actually ask

  • Expand all the comments on your post (Instagram only loads them as you scroll, so go to the bottom first), copy them, and paste them in above. Set your rules, then draw. This tool uses your browser's cryptographic random number generator and shuffles the whole pool, so the draw is genuinely uniform and nobody can win twice.
